The most provocative statement about fishing that Anthony Surage and Jim White have ever heard is this: “Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.”
What we are after—or, might be after—is what these two serious and experienced anglers will explore at the July 25 meeting of Trout Unlimited, Pikes Peak Chapter. With photographs, poetry, and stories, they will share their reflections and hear thoughts others may have about THE MEANING OF FLY-FISHING.
Anthony has been a school counselor and senior guide at Anglers Covey for thirty years, and Jim, author of Round Boys Great Adventures: Fish-a-logues through Rocky Mountain Waters, has been a minister in the United Church of Christ for similar-plus years. Neither man, friends will tell you, is ever boring.
The July Membership meeting will take place on July 25th at the Colorado Park and Wildlife office on Sinton Rd.
Social time: 6:30pm
Meeting begins @ 7:00pm
