Our chapter will be presenting educational information about our species of trout here in Colorado to a class of youth in the Woodland Park Middle School (Woodland Park) for one day, April 4, 2019. Part of this class includes fly tying of one simple pattern – probably a woolly bugger.
This is an afternoon event for one hour. We have instructors lined up but we need a small army of assistants to help wrangle the investigative minds of these youth. Most of the tasks are re-threading bobbins and adjusting the vice. Also, the students at this level commonly need some one-on-one direction. There have been special needs persons in these classes before and it is an awesome privilege to be able to interface and and share our wonderful world of fly tying with such young people.
Please consider volunteering to help with this day.
